Cost Centre Dashboards provide insight and oversight.

As Cost Controller in Bosch Rexroth, I introduced a new process - monthly reviews with cost centre managers. Reports were generated from SAP and included establishing the necessary assessment routines to include cross cost centre allocations. These reports were reviewed on an exception basis with only significant under/over spends being discussed, understood and, where necessary, future quarterly budgets forecasted. Waterfall charts were used to provide a visual depiction of actual v budget for reporting at Board Level. In my Process Improvement Analyst role within FMC Technologies, I further expanded this concept by establishing a standardised report (following consultation and collaboration with the site controllers) for Eastern Region sites. This comprised of several sites in UK, Norway, Africa, Russia, and Poland. In this role I maximised the use of SAP Business Intelligence dashboards and provided a dashboard report which showed all of the information for the actual/plan for period, year to date in comparison to original budget and revised forecast. This pack also included graphics to show trend analysis, graphs of costs and, where appropriate, time writing in various cost centres related to project accounting. Reports were automatically broadcast to the cost centre responsible in the SAP master data.
